So, What Exactaly ARE You?

That's a good question.  The Proving Grounds is a new idea.  TPG serves as a training facility to create men and women that will be ready for Global Championship Wrestling.  An ACTIVE roster of 10 potential superstars is constantly kept up.   Each roleplay is given the closest attention as we attempt to improve upon the wrestler and all aspects of his or her game.  At the beginning of each week, every wrestler will be expected to sign a match.  They will then roleplay for it (and be given help in the process), and at the end of the week a show will be compiled with Zeus to create results.  Once it has been determined that you have the ability to continue into GCW, you will be "called up."

If you have:

- The desire to be a fantasy wrestler

Then you are ready to join.  You will be trained by Masked Marauder, a veteran of the fantasy wrestling world since 1998.  He is a former President of Global Championship Wrestling and former e-wrestler under three different aliases spanning over three years.

The Humble Beginnings...

ATLANTA, GA (AP) - Masked Marauder is back in power.

The former GCW President is making a return to the e-wrestling industry after a nearly year-long hiatus.  Mr. Marauder will become the new President of The Proving Grounds, an innovative idea that Masked is convinced will create many good superstars--10 at a time.

"I am very sure the success rate will be high," Masked states in the press conference from GCW Studios in Atlanta on May 28.  "I have given this idea a lot of thought, and I finally decided that it was time for me to get it done.  With more time on my hands now, I feel like I can teach these people everything they will need to know."

That seems to be the focus here--everything they NEED to know.  The Proving Grounds is setup to get people through it as quickly as possible.  In fact, stragglers will be dropped from the camp if it is determined that they are not improving, opening up more of the precious 10 slots.  TPG, as it is being referred to, will simply give the e-wrestler the tools they need to be a success, and give them some experience in front of the rabid GCW fans before GCW Rage begins.  After they have been given enough matches to get comfortable in their new environment and have successfully mastered the basic techniques, they are off on their own.

The Proving Grounds is an offshoot of Global Championship Wrestling.  Masked Marauder is technically underneath the co-Presidents Executioner and Michael Meep Mosall, but the contract that TPG runs under allows Masked virtually free-reign over his band of rookies.

"It won't be a place where guys get stuck in and stay for half a year before quitting.  I have seen the mistakes of GCW's previous Minor Leagues and improved upon them in every way.  This is a great idea and I can't wait to get it started."
